    The markets have been through major ups and downs the past two years. Baron Capital’s team of portfolio managers, analysts, and special guests are ready to share unique insights into the current market environment, their investment thinking, and where they see growth investment opportunities in 2023. And to cap off the celebration of Baron Capital’s 40th Anniversary, you won’t want to miss presentations from Co-founder, President, and Chief Operating Officer Linda Martinson, and Ron Baron, Founder and CEO.

    In appreciation of our shareholders and business partners, the Conference will once again feature surprise, live performances during the lunch break and at the Conference finale. Some of the past entertainers have included Paul McCartney, Sting, Jon Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart, and Jerry Seinfeld. This year’s entertainment will be another one to remember!

How To Register

Online registration is open until November 2, 2022. Seating is limited, and seats will not be guaranteed until registration has been validated by Baron Capital. Please review the registration steps carefully, and register early.

    Acceptance

    Upon validation, an acceptance email is sent containing a confirmation number and QR code.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a shareholder of Baron Funds or a financial professional client of Baron Capital.
  • Shareholders must have a minimum investment value of $30,000 in Baron Funds as of June 30, 2022, regardless of market fluctuations. Accounts with a minimum value of $60,000 may bring a spouse or other family member. Preferred seating is available for shareholders whose account value is $300,000 or greater. New accounts and subsequent investments are eligible if proof is received by October 21, 2022.
  • All attendees must be at least 18 years old.
  • Shareholders who hold their accounts with a brokerage firm, must be able to provide an account statement during or post registration for account validation. If we are unable to validate the eligibility requirements, we will not accept the registration, and the individual will be ineligible to attend the Conference.
  • Baron Capital requires attendees show a valid proof of vaccination as of October 21, 2022, and a government issued photo ID. The Metropolitan Opera and Lincoln Center currently require that all attendees wear a face mask at all times while indoors, except when eating or drinking in designated areas.

What's New In 2022

Please read carefully, as our registration and check-in have changed.

  • Registration

    This year's registration process is made up of three easy steps.

    1. Register: Attendees must complete an online registration form. Online registration is open until November 2, 2022. To register by phone, call 1-800-99-BARON EXT. 4.

    2. Validation: Baron Capital will review all registrations and will validate whether all eligibility requirements have been met. Missing or incorrect data may delay the validation process. Shareholders who hold their accounts with a brokerage firm, must be able to provide an account statement during or post registration for account validation. If we are unable to validate all eligibility requirements, we will not accept the registration, and the individual will be ineligible to attend the Conference.

    3. Acceptance: Once registration has been validated, the individual will receive a confirmation email containing a confirmation number and QR code. The confirmation email is a digital ticket to enter the Baron Investment Conference. Attendees will also have the option to enter the Baron Investment Conference with a printout of the email confirmation.

  • Baron Capital Event App

    For the first time ever, we are introducing the Baron Capital Event App. The App is the best way to stay connected to everything happening at the Baron Investment Conference. The App provides access to the agenda, speaker bios, QR code for check-in, seat assignment, and more. The App is now available for Apple and Android devices.

  • Lunch and Live Performance

    A lunch venue must be preselected during registration. There will be three entertainment choices. The venues have limited seating, and attendees may not be able to attend their first choice. Box lunches will be provided upon entry to the selected lunch venue.

  • Check-In

    The check-in kiosks will open at 6:30 a.m. ET on Friday, November 4, 2022. We have moved to a digital ticketing platform. All attendees will scan the QR code found in their confirmation email at any of the check-in kiosks outside. An entry badge will be immediately printed with the attendee's seat assignment. Staff will be on-site to assist all attendees during the entry process. Badges are not transferrable and will be scanned at all entry points.

  • Seating

    Seats will be preassigned based on the date and time registration is validated and the value of the shareholders Baron Funds account. Preferred seating is available for shareholders whose account value is $300,000 or greater. Seat numbers will not be provided in advance. Seat numbers will be provided at check-in on the printed name badge on November 4. Seating will be held until 9:00 a.m. ET at which time the seat will be released. Seat changes will not be permitted. An attendee's "arrival time" on the day of the conference does not dictate seating assignments as in the past.

  • Covid-19 Protocol

    Baron Capital requires attendees show a valid proof of vaccination as of October 21, 2022, and a government issued photo ID. Joel S. Marcus, JD, CPA, is the Executive Chairman and Founder of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. Dr. Ajei Gopal has over 30 years of leadership experience in the software industry. For the past five years, Dr. Gopal has been president and CEO of S&P 500 company Ansys, the global leader in engineering simulation. Ansys helps the world’s most innovative companies engineer radically better products – from computer chips to rocket ships. During his tenure as Ansys CEO, Dr. Gopal has helped accelerate the company’s growth and doubling revenue and the number of employees.

Dr. Gopal has been on the Ansys board of directors for over a decade, initially as an independent member serving on the Audit Committee. He was also on the Citrix board from 2017 until 2021, where he served on the Compensation, the Technology, Data and Information, and the Nominating and Corporate Governance committees.

Dr. Gopal previously served as operating partner for Silver Lake Partners, where he worked with several of Silver Lake’s portfolio companies and was seconded as interim president and chief operating officer to Symantec. Prior to that, Dr. Gopal served as senior vice president and general manager of Hewlett Packard Software, executive vice president at CA Technologies, and executive vice president and CTO at Symantec, positions where he was responsible for software product and technology portfolios that drove billions of dollars in revenue.

Earlier, Dr. Gopal was the founder and CEO of Reefedge Networks, a wireless LAN security company, which was acquired by Symantec. Before that, Dr. Gopal held several roles at IBM Research and IBM’s Software Group. He began his career at Bell Communications Research in 1984.

Dr. Gopal holds 23 U.S. patents and has authored numerous papers and technical reports published in scientific conferences and journals. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, which has named him a distinguished alumnus.

Kirsten Lynch, CEO Vail Resorts, Inc.

Kirsten is Chief Executive Officer of Vail Resorts (MTN).  She was appointed to the role of CEO and the Board of Directors in November 2021.  Prior to becoming CEO, Kirsten served as EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at Vail Resorts for over 10 years.  During her tenure as CMO, she led the growth of the company’s Epic Pass business and the vision to drive revenue through a data-driven approach, building the company’s analytics team and data-science team.  In 2019, Kirsten was recognized by Forbes as one of the top 50 Game-Changing Marketing Leaders on their CMO Next List.  Kirsten served on the Board of Directors for Stitch Fix (SFIX), a publicly-traded e-commerce company focused on personalized data-driven fashion, from March 2018 through May 2022. Before joining Vail Resorts, Kirsten worked for PepsiCo as CMO of the Quaker Division.  She also worked for Kraft Foods for 12 years and started her career with Ford Motor Company in Marketing.
